| This sculpture series is a relaxing, playful adjunction to my other work and an opportunity for me to indulge my fascination with light, color and texture. The glowing light of low wattage bulbs, sometimes colored themselves or creating soft tints through sheer fabrics, wire mesh and/or kiln-formed glass. I am most fond of making lights with warm tones of amber, red, orange, gold, reminiscent of an inviting hearth. Illuminated blue glass against rusting steel is also a frequent combination in these pieces. The plasma cut steel "leaves", weavings of wire and organic forms tie the pieces to my other work.
